Changing Daily Note Opening on Startup

Time Garden opens today’s daily note on launch by default. How to change that to weekly, monthly, or no auto-open.

  1. Navigate to the Obsidian Settings !Obsidian Open obsidian settings.png
  2. In "Community-Plugins", open the Journals Plugin !Community plugins journals click.png
  3. Locate the "Open on startup" setting !Community plugins journals open on startup.png
  4. Change it to your desired Setting
    • Don't open: Doesn't open any temporal note upon vault startup
    • Daily (default setting): Creates a new daily note upon startup
    • Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly: Opens the current rollup note of specified type, or creates it if not yet created !Community plugins journals open on startup options.png
